This workshop is tailored for AppState students like you who simply want to take a few steps of faith when it comes to communicating your hope in Christ with others. We’ll look forward to seeing you then.

There will be a PRIZE given to best/tackiest outfit.

Haiti Spring Break

Join 20 other AppState students into a shattered land. But as you will discover, pockets of beauty and hope are waiting to be discovered. We will come alongside Haiti Cru’s ongoing mission to restore the hope and dignity of a people who have much to teach us about finding faith in the midst of pressing need. We will put the Gospel in Action physically and spiritually rebuild the walls of a broken land. Space is limited to 20 students.  Additional preference will be given to students who apply first.

The Friday Afternoon Club is ending the Fall Semester with a bang. We are going to do an Amazing Race Challenge This Friday, beginning at 7:30pm, Trivette turnaround.

-Get together a group of 4-5 people and create a team name!

-Don’t have a team? No Problem. Come to Cru this Thursday and sign up at our table in the back. We’ll make sure to get you on a team.

-Entry fee is $5 per person to cover the cost of gas, s’mores, and drinks afterwards
-Drivers will be REIMBURSED!!!!
-Meet at Trivette Circle at 6:30 on Friday night, Nov. 18th.
-There will be a bonfire afterwards!
-This is a COMPETITION and there will be sweet PRIZES for the winners!

HOW WILL IT WORK?
Each team will arrive at Triv. Circle at 6:30 to check in. You MUST ARRIVE WITH YOUR COMPLETE TEAM and check in together!! You will turn in you $5 dollars and go from there. Each team will be given a list of things to find that are scattered around Boone. Each item will be worth points, some more than others. You must arrive at the destination point at or before 8:30 in order to be eligible for the prize! Each team will need to have a camera to take pictures of each item they complete on the list and will be checked off at the end destination and tallied for points.

Register for the MLKjr Challenge

Roan Mountain Men’s Sleeping Bagger is this Friday, Nov 4th. Join us for a camping experience on one of the most dramatic summits in Appalachians. This experience is all about going light and simple. Here’s all you need to do:
-Be a man
-Meet at Trivette Circle @ 5pm (we need drivers. Drivers, you will get gas money)
-Bring a warm sleeping bag, at least 20 degree bag or warmer.
-Bring a sleeping pad. You will hate your life if you don’t.
-Warm layers
-Water.
-$ for cheap dinner together on the way out.

Additional Details: Roan Mountain is an hour away in TN. We’ll be hiking about 15-20minutes and camping on top of a dramatic, grassy summit bald at 6,300ft. Expect amazing stars, a cold night in the 20′s, and a killer sunrise. We hope to have a fire. You’ll be back for breakfast on Saturday morning.
