Community Groups
This is the place where life happens, a place where you connect with others heading in the same direction. Community Groups are intimate gatherings where we study the Bible, connect in authentic ways, and challenge each other to have an outward impact as we grow in our faith.
Community groups are taking place on every corner of the campus, and throughout the off-campus community.
Let us know you are coming!
If you will be a freshman at App in fall of 2016, let us know and we will contact you about community groups on your part of campus.
Upperclassmen Community Groups
Were you already part of a community group last year? If so, contact you leader and find out when you are meeting this year. If your group is no longer meeting, you are not sure, or you are transferring here from another school, let us know. We’ll be glad to point you in the right direction.

WEEKLY MEETING: Thursdays at8:45pm, Grandfather Ballroom
Every Thursday night CRU puts on a meeting that we like to think of as our front door. This meeting is a place for you to come and check out what we are all about. No pressure.
We know that going to new places can be intimidating, so we want you to know a little about what goes on. The weekly meeting can have several hundred students coming on any given night. It’s kind of set up like a talk show with a host, live music and a short talk from one of our staff or students. We have a good time, laugh a lot, and ultimately, think deeply about how we as college students can be a part of transforming the world for Christ. Map>>
Friday Afternoon Club
If the weekly meeting is our front door, The Friday Afternoon Club is the back one. Actually, there’s no door at all because F.A.C is about exploring the outdoors. Hiking, rock climbing, swimming, and exploring. This is your chance to get off campus and experience some beautiful places and high adventure with other App Students. More than just an adventure, each Friday afternoon is designed to help you learn something new about your faith, wherever you might be in that journey. We think you already listen to enough lectures every week. We also believe people learn best when they experience things for themselves. To that end, our goal for the Friday Afternoon Club is to provide a great environment for you to experience the truths of life in an active, hands-on way.
